Fitness Training (incorporating sparring) |

Tough physical training builds amongst other things, character, discipline, determination and pride.

Circuit training incorporating, shuttle runs, and beam pull ups (if you can reach) are two methods of developing fitness that the club uses regularly. Typically these sessions include an extensive range of exercises designed to build cardio-vascular fitness and strength; Tuesday classes in particular are very demanding. To get the most out of Martial Arts training, it is a big advantage being physically fit. Don't worry though if you are not when you start; we will change that. |

From May-Sept the club runs upto the Old Blandford Rd, steps in Harnham to train for 45 mins before the Tuesday class starts. Sessions include, shuttle runs up and down the 100 steps and an assortment of press-ups going both ways. This is 'hard graft' and all before the lesson starts. It is not compulsory but there if you want it. Typically students who participate in this extra training are stronger and fitter than those who do not. Believe us when we say, we will get you fit. |
