Information

The club was established in 1982 and is proud to be a member of the British Kung Fu Association. The chief instructor and 'keeper' of the Lau Gar style is Master Yau. Steve Jeffery (5th degree) the club instructor was one of the first students to commence training at that time.

It is a condition of club membership that all students must regularly train twice a week, attending both their syllabus lesson on a Saturday (4-6pm) and the fighting and fitness lesson on a Tuesday evening (6.30-8.30pm).  This is to ensure that coaching is evenly balanced between the technical and fighting aspects of the style. The club provides hard, no frills tuition in both basic and advanced Kung Fu training; including the disciplined use of weapons. Training is uncompromising and we are not in the business of producing Black sashes off a production line, only the most determined get that far.
